San Marcos High School
Partnering with student and parent organizations to bring life back to campus!
At San Marcos High School, we’re working closely with the Sustainable Future Club to host student-led planting parties, where around 30 students come together to help restore the edge of a drainage ditch with native plants, spread mulch, and create a Microforest. We’re also working with the Royal Pride Foundation and the SBUSD to create a native perimeter hedge that will serve as a beautiful, low-cost alternative to fencing that adds both security and habitat to the campus. Where possible, we’re removing grass and planting oaks to increase shade and create informal gathering spaces.
