Some inspirational lines
Who We Are
It started with three moms who shared the same values and a deep belief in the power of nature to shape how children learn and grow.
Brook and Devon met while serving on the board of the Wilderness Youth Project. Brook had a background in landscape architecture; Devon was pursuing a PhD in education with a focus on natural play environments. When we joined the board, we quickly discovered a shared vision: that every child deserves access to natural spaces that spark imagination, curiosity, and a connection to the world around them.
Sarah, an attorney with nonprofit experience, teamed up with Brook to lead the Green Team at their children’s school, organizing annual family planting days that brought the community together.

And How It Grew
As we each got involved in projects at our own kids' schools, we began inviting one another in. Each effort built on the last, and new opportunities kept emerging. We saw the potential for this work early on — but we wanted to be sure it was something we truly loved. Three years later, we still get excited whenever a planting party or landscape project hits the calendar.
After hosting our first planting party together at Harding School, the potential became crystal clear. We saw how joyful, hands-on, and transformative this kind of work could be — and the model began to take shape.
We realized that restoring and revitalizing school landscapes isn’t just about planting greenery. It’s about bringing communities together, deepening relationships, and teaching practical skills — like building healthy soil — that have lasting impact. It’s a win for kids, for communities, and for the land and climate.
